Properties:
The VAS5054A is a universaldignostic interface for the vehicles of the Volkswagen Group andall OBD vehicle systems from other manufacturers.The integratedbluetooth interface connects the vehicle with a notebook,desktop PCor test system. No cables are needed for vehicle diagnostics usingthe VAS5054A.
The range of the wirelessbluetooth connection is 5 to 10 meters,depending on theenvironments and the type of bluetooth adapter used on the PCside.
The Serial port Profile (SPP) isused for data transfer via bluetooth.Different bluetooth securitylevels are supported.
The following vehicle bus systemsare supported:
K Line (ISO9141-2)
High-speed CAN(ISO11898-2)
Low-speed CAN(ISO11898-3)
J1850 (SAE J1850)
The vehicle protocols are handleddirectly in the VAS5054A. This ensures fast response times and areliable real-time behavior independently of the PC operationsystem.
Every time a connection isestablished, the VAS5054A software is synchonized with the versioninstalled on the application PC.The VAS5054A thus automaticallyadopts any new features provided after a new software version hasbeen installed on the application PC.

To operate the VAS5054A, yourcomputer must meet the following system requirements:
PC, notebook, 100% IBMcompatible.
Operation system Windows XPservice Pack 2.
Installation requiresadministrator rights.
The computer must have a bluetoothinterface that supports the bluetooth serial portprofile.
One free USB port (for specialapplication such as configuring the VAS5054A or if wirelesscommunication is not permitted).
The Windows NT4,Windows 98/95/MEand Windows Vista operating system are not supported by theVAS5054A driver software. To use the VAS5054A with Windows2000.
